Spodumene

A pyroxene mineral and a source of lithia, used in glasses, ceramics, porcelain enamels, whitewares and glazes for its powerful fluxing properties. Low thermal expansion, reduces melt viscosity and melting temperature, contributing to brilliancy and strength of the glass.
