Fused Silica

Also known as fused quartz, a glass consisting of almost pure amorphous silica. High working and melting temperature, high strength, electrical resistivity, thermal stability and UV transparency. Used in high power vacuum tubes, lithography projection masks, data storage, and refractory applications such as steel making, investment casting and glass manufacture.
